- This standard specifies the test items, test equipment, test conditions and test methods for reliability testing of internal combustion engine heat exchangers. This standard applies to plate-fin oil coolers, shell-and-tube oil coolers, water radiators, oil radiators, charge air coolers, and diesel engine water coolers for internal combustion engines used in automobiles, tractors, engineering machinery, generator sets, and small ships. Vibration test, pressure pulse test, thermal shock test and static pressure strength test.
