- This standard specifies the technical requirements for steel pretreatment, steel surface defect treatment, sand blasting, surface cleaning, spraying, film thickness, coating environment, safety and hygiene in the coating construction of cargo oil tanks of product oil tankers. This standard is applicable to the coating construction of cargo oil tanks of product oil tankers and chemical tankers carrying petroleum products, chemicals, animal and vegetable oils and edible products. The coating construction of other containers holding the above products can also be used with reference.
