- This standard specifies the method and evaluation standard for welding defects of bimetal friction welded valve bar by direct ultrasonic longitudinal wave inspection. This standard applies to bimetal friction welding valve rods for reciprocating piston internal combustion engines with cylinder diameters below 200mm. It can also be used as a reference for ultrasonic flaw detection of semi-finished and finished valve products.
