Scope

This standard specifies the flaw detection method and defect grade classification using the Type A pulse reflection ultrasonic flaw detector. This standard applies to ultrasonic flaw detection of valve forgings. This standard does not apply to ultrasonic flaw detection of austenitic steel forgings.
