- This standard applies to high-voltage cables. It provides guidance on the selection of conductor sizes, insulation levels and cable construction for cables used in three-phase AC systems above 1kV. It also summarizes the information necessary to make appropriate choices. Unless expressly stated in special provisions, the contents of these Guidelines apply to any type of cable. Currently only AC systems are covered, DC systems may be considered in future publications.
