- This standard specifies the technical requirements, performance parameters, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of discharge coils for high-voltage parallel capacitors. This standard is applicable to single-phase discharge coils for high-voltage shunt capacitors that are connected in parallel with high-voltage shunt capacitor banks in power systems with a rated frequency of 50 Hz and voltage levels of 6 to 66 kV and are used to release the residual charge on the capacitor banks in a short period of time. . When the discharge coil has a secondary winding, it can be used for electrical protection devices.
