- Scope
- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for electromagnetic flowmeters. This standard applies to electromagnetic flow transmitters or electromagnetic flowmeters that combine electromagnetic flow sensors and electromagnetic flow converters to measure incompressible conductive fluid flow in closed pipelines. Instruments used in special occasions (such as explosion-proof electromagnetic flow meters, high-voltage electromagnetic flow meters) should not only comply with this standard, but also meet relevant special requirements. This standard does not apply to electromagnetic flow meters for blood, liquid metal and iron ore slurry flow measurement, nor does it apply to plug-in electromagnetic flow meters and electromagnetic flow meters for open channel flow measurement.
