- Scope
- This standard specifies the definition, symbols, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging and storage of volumetric flowmeters. This standard applies to all liquid volumetric flow meters that are composed of a sensor (or transmitter) and a display part and can display instantaneous flow and/or cumulative flow. Flow meters used under special working conditions should also comply with this standard in addition to special requirements and relevant regulations. This standard does not include additional requirements for flow meters with additional devices.
