- This standard specifies the definition, method summary, materials and equipment, preparatory work, analysis steps, allowable errors, etc. for the determination of the total amount of emulsified oil and dissolved oil in oil field treatment produced water by the static flotation method. It is recommended to use infrared-based measurement of dissolved oil. Silica gel method. It is recommended to use microscopy method to determine the oil droplet size distribution. This standard is applicable to the determination of emulsified oil and dissolved oil content in produced water, injected water and boiler water used in oilfield treatment.
