- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for powder metallurgy brake shoes for railway power and diesel locomotives. This standard applies to powder metallurgy brake shoes (hereinafter referred to as brake shoes) for railway power and diesel locomotives with operating speeds not exceeding 160km/h and axle loads not exceeding 25t. For railway electric power and diesel locomotive powder metallurgy brake shoes with operating speeds between 160km/h and 200km/h and an axle load not exceeding 25t, this standard can be used with reference to this standard.
