Scope: This document stipulates the classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycled plastics. This document applies to flake-shaped recycled PET plastic materials (bottle flakes for short) obtained by crushing, screening, sorting, and cleaning polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic packaging bottles as raw materials, or packaging in PET plastic Granular PET recycled plastic materials (referred to as pellets or slices) made from bottles and/or other PET products that are then melted, extruded and granulated. This document does not apply to recycled plastics from hazardous wastes such as medical waste, pesticide packaging, and radioactive contaminants. This document does not apply to mixed plastics reprocessed from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and other plastic materials.
