Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for washing and disinfection of hospital medical fabrics, operational requirements for classified collection, transportation and storage, principles and methods of washing and disinfection, hygienic quality requirements for clean fabrics, and data management and storage requirements. This standard applies to hospitals and social laundry service organizations that provide medical fabric laundry services. Other medical institutions can follow suit.
