Scope
This standard specifies the evaluation and expression methods of measurement uncertainty for quantitative testing of food microorganis s. This standard applies to food and measurement uncertainty assessment activities for quantitative analysis of environmental samples used to monitor processed and stored foods. It also applies to instrumental quantitative analysis methods that can replace conventional microbial colony counting methods. This standard does not apply to the most probable value counting method and the analysis method of low-level microorganis s. Evaluation of measurement uncertainty for quantitative analysis of animal feed products also refers to this standard.
