This standard defines performance criteria for optical data channels used in impact testing of road vehicles when numerical temporal and spatial data are extracted from images to analyze the impact test results. The purpose of this standard is to specify minimum quality standards. The purpose is to facilitate comparison with results obtained by other laboratories. Annexes A, B, C and D provide a number of quality parameters such as calibration targets, reference distances and sub-processes of the optical data channel using the analysis system.
