This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and nomenclature, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of household and similar gravity water purifiers (hereinafter referred to as "water purifiers"). This standard applies to water treatment equipment that uses municipal tap water or other centralized water supplies as raw water to filter and improve water quality in households or similar situations.
