This standard specifies general dimensions and markings for taps used for pipe threads. This standard applies to the following two types of taps;
——cylindrical pipe thread taps (see Table 1);
——conical pipe thread taps (see Table 2). The threads mentioned above are in accordance with ISO 228-1 and ISO 7-1. In addition, the calculation methods for the dimensions of each part are given in the appendix of this standard.
