This part of YY/T 0988 is used to quantify the wear resistance of metal coatings sprayed on metal planes by thermal spraying methods. The purpose of this section is to provide a method for characterization of surgical implant usage layers. This part uses the mixed effect of rolling and friction generated by the abrasion meter to cause wear on the coating surface. Wear is quantified by cumulative mass loss. This test method is only applicable to flat rigid specimens. The sample does not react significantly with water, and no phase change or chemical reaction occurs in the air between room temperature and 100°C. This section does not attempt to address all safety issues covered, even those related to its use.
