Scope
This part of YY/T 0988 contains test methods for determining the shear and bending fatigue properties of calcium phosphate coatings, porous and non-porous metal coatings, and also contains test methods for determining the bending fatigue properties of metal coatings covered with calcium phosphate . This section is based on plasma sprayed titanium coating and plasma sprayed hydroxyapatite coating. The effect for other coatings has not been established in this section. This test method evaluates the adhesion and bonding properties of coatings over metallic substrates in the shear fatigue mode. This section evaluates the adhesion of the coating and the effect of the coating on the base material in bending fatigue mode. These test methods are performed only in air at room temperature.
