- Scope
- This International Standard defines a method for determining the bulk density of biogenic solid fuels using a standard measuring container. This procedure applies to all pourable biogenic solid fuels with a nominal sieve size of no more than 100 mm. Bulk density is not an absolute value; Therefore, the conditions for their determination must be standardized in order to achieve comparable measurement results. NOTE The bulk density of biogenic solid fuels varies due to several factors such as: B. Vibration, shock, pressure, biodegradation, drying and moisture/wetting. The measured bulk density may therefore differ from the actual conditions prevailing during transport, storage or transshipment.
