This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of sodium PCA (sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate) (type L, type DL) used in cosmetics. This standard applies to 50% sodium PCA aqueous solution manufactured by chemical semi-synthetic method using sodium glutamate as raw material and used as cosmetic mois urizer.
