Scope

This International Standard specifies four test methods for textile floor coverings (with or without underlayment, see Section 9) using the Lisson treadmill device. Test A: Determination of the weight loss of textile floor coverings, also used to determine the fiber integration of synthetic pile carpets; Test B: Determination of the change in appearance of textile floor coverings on stair edges; Test C: Determination of fiber integration of synthetic loop pile floor coverings; Test D: Determination of the fiber integration (hairiness) of needle-punched floor coverings and floor coverings without pile.
