Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of methanol content in fatty acid methyl esters used as biodiesel and heating oil. This standard is suitable for the determination of methanol content in fatty acid methyl esters with a mass fraction of 0.01%~0.5%. This standard is not applicable to the determination of methanol content in fatty acid methyl ester mixtures containing other low boiling point components.
