This standard specifies the biosafety requirements, detection objects, detection methods, and results reports for the detection of West Nile virus and St. Louis encephalitis virus carried by imported mosquitoes at border ports. This standard is applicable to inspection and quarantine agencies’ detection and reporting of imported mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus and St. Louis encephalitis virus. The detection of West Nile virus and St. Louis encephalitis virus in mosquitoes found at ports can also be implemented with reference. .
