Scope: This part of GA/T 704 specifies the machine-readable code sequence identification of Chinese ordinary passports, entry and exit passes, travel passes to and from Hong Kong and Macao, travel passes to Hong Kong and Macao, travel passes for mainland residents to and from Taiwan, and travel passes for Taiwan residents to and from the mainland. This section applies to the informatization construction of public security entry and exit management and the processing and management of information.
