- This standard specifies the terms, definitions and symbols, product classification and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of gas rotor flow meters (also known as gas Roots flow meters). This standard applies to gas rotary flowmeters (hereinafter referred to as flowmeters) that measure gas flow in closed pipes.
