Scope: This standard specifies the key points of the method, reagents and reference materials, instruments, analysis steps, result calculation, recovery rate and standard deviation for the determination of peroxides in oral care products by high performance liquid chromatography. This standard applies to the determination of peroxide content in oral care products that use hydrogen peroxide and other hydrogen peroxide-releasing compounds or mixtures (such as carbamide peroxide and zinc peroxide) as raw materials. In this standard, the peroxide content is calculated as hydrogen peroxide, the detection limit is 0.3 μg/mL, and the lower limit of quantification is 2.0 μg/mL. If 1.0 g sample is taken, the minimum detectable concentration of hydrogen peroxide is 30 mg/kg, and the minimum quantitative concentration is 200 mg/kg.
