This standard specifies three methods for the determination of iron: inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry and phenanthroline spectrophotometry in seawater cooling water. This standard is applicable to the determination of total iron and soluble iron content in seawater cooling water. Among them, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) is the arbitration method, and the lower detection limit is 0.02 mg/L; the lower detection limit of flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry is 0.20 mg/L; the lower detection limit of phenanthroline spectrophotometry is is 2 μg.
