Scope: This standard stipulates the test method and evaluation of the burning performance of the carpet sample surface placed at an inclination of 45° under the action of flame under the controlled conditions of the laboratory. This standard applies to carpets with various fiber components and organizational structures. This standard does not apply to the evaluation of the burning performance of carpets in other test locations and the hazards of carpets under actual fire conditions.
