- This standard specifies the mechanical test method for measuring the impact strength of glass containers by impacting the specimen with a pendulum of fixed mass. This standard applies to the determination of the impact strength of glass bottles and similar glass containers, not applicable to the determination of the impact strength of flat glass containers.
