GB/T 18256-2015 Non-destructive testing of steel tubes.Automated ultrasonic testing of seamless and welded (except submerged arc-welded) steel tubes for verification of hydraulic leak-tightness (English Version)
This standard specifies the general requirements for the automatic testing method of ultrasonic shear waves (generated by discrete probes or phase control techniques) of seamless and welded steel pipes (except submerged arc welding) to confirm their hydraulic tightness. This detection method is mainly used in the detection of longitudinal discontinuity. When necessary, the manufacturer decides whether to use Lamb wave detection. This standard applies to steel pipes with an outer diameter of not less than 10 mm and a ratio of outer diameter to wall thickness of not less than 5.
