The leaflet deals with the influences of the most important welding parameters on the current carrying capacity of SAW welding powders for welding unalloyed and low-alloy steels. Using series of comparison images of the appearance of the seam surface and the formation of the seam edge, it is possible to assess the seam appearance and uniformly label the powders in accordance with DIN 32522. The test guidelines enable users and manufacturers to compare different powders. The conditions for carrying out the test test are listed.
