This standard specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, analytical procedures, result calculation and precis on of the static headspace-gas chromatography method for volatile esters in wine. This standard is applicable to the determination of ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, is amyl acetate and ethyl hexanoate in wine. The detection limits of this standard method are: ethyl acetate 0.2 mg/L; butyl acetate 0.1 mg/L; is amyl acetate 0.4 mg/L; ethyl hexanoate 0.6 mg/L.
