Scope: This standard specifies the test method for measuring the interfacial tensile and shear bond strength of ceramic-ceramic, ceramic-metal, ceramic-glass by cross method at room temperature, specifies the sample preparation method, test mode and rate (loading rate and deformation rate), data collection and reporting procedures. This standard is applicable to homogeneous bulk ceramics and various whisker, fiber, and particle-reinforced ceramic composite materials, and can also be used to test the strength of binders. This standard applies to materials research, quality control, performance characterization and design data collection and other purposes.
