- This standard specifies the shape, basic dimensions and measurement methods of hexalobular sockets for bolts and screws. The contour curve of the hexagonal socket for bolts or screws shall be determined by the gauges in accordance with the provisions in Table 3~Table 5. Appendix A gives reference information for drawing contour curves. This standard is applicable to the dimensional inspection of hexagonal socket, not applicable as a manufacturing standard.
