This standard applies to the determination of toluene, xylene and styrene in ambient air and industrial waste gas. When the sampling volume is 1L, the minimum detectable concentrations of toluene, p-xylene, m-xylene, o-xylene and styrene can respectively reach 1.0×10-3~2.0×103mg /m 3. When the instrument models used are different, the detection range of the method is different. This standard measures toluene, xylene and styrene that exist in gaseous state. Organic compounds such as benzene, ethylbenzene, and cumene in the sample do not interfere with the determination of toluene, xylene, and styrene under the chromatographic conditions selected by this method.
