This International Standard specifies requirements, including dimensions, for substance-specific filling systems for use with substance-specific anesthetic vaporizers. This International Standard does not specify materials for construction. NOTE 1 Recommendations for materials are included in Annex A. Due to the special properties of desflurane, the dimensions for this anesthetic agent have not been specified in this International Standard. NOTE 2 Versions of connection systems are supported that only allow the substance-specific bottle adapters to engage the bottle when the bottle collar is in the correct place.
