This part of ISO 8254 specifies a photometric test method for evaluating gloss using a reflectometer value measured at an angle of 75°. It applies to flat paper and cardboard surfaces with a gloss value of less than 65 as determined in accordance with this part of ISO 8254. It should be the preferred method for paper and cardboard surfaces with gloss values of less than 20 as determined in accordance with this part of ISO 8254. Materials that contain optically brightening components may be measured.
