This International Standard specifies procedures for obtaining laboratory samples of textile materials from laboratory bulk samples taken from a test item and gives general instructions for the preparation of appropriately sized measurement samples for chemical testing. No regulations are described for taking samples from the test material, as it is assumed that the laboratory sample was selected using a suitable method and is representative of the test material.
