This International Standard specifies a method for measuring the surface of leather or parts of leather using electronic measuring machines. The standard applies to the measurement of leather (or parts of leather) that meet the following requirements: flexible leather, with or without finishing, dry or wet leather; Flexibility: to allow full expansion on the measurement line/surface. NOTE The parties involved agree on the type of conditioning for tanned and withered, wet leather. In the event of a dispute, the leather will be conditioned according to the reference standard conditions in ISO 2419.
