- Scope
- This part of ISO 19069 specifies the methods for producing test specimens and the test methods for determining the properties of polypropylene (PP) molding compounds. Requirements for the treatment of the sample material and for the conditioning of the sample material both before forming the test specimens and the test specimens before testing are included. Methods and conditions for the preparation of the test specimens and methods for determining the properties of the molding material from which the test specimens are made are also given. Properties and test methods that are applicable and necessary to characterize polypropylene (PP) molding compounds are listed. The properties were taken from the general test methods in ISO 10350-1. Other widely used test methods or those of particular importance for these molding materials, such as the characteristic properties of ISO 19069-1, are also included in this part of ISO 19069. In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is necessary to apply the test specimen preparation and conditioning, the test specimen dimensions and the specified test procedures as specified here. The measured values will not necessarily be identical to those obtained using test specimens of different dimensions or those produced using a different method.
