Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for determining the content of total tryptophan and free tryptophan (Trp) in feed (e.g. complete and supplementary feed, milk replacer feed, raw materials, feed ingredients and concentrates) and for the determination of free tryptophan in commercially available pure substances and premixes containing more than 2% tryptophan. The process does not differentiate between D and L shapes.
