This document specifies the radiographic acceptance limits for indications of irregularities in butt welds in steel, nickel, titanium and their alloys. If agreed, the acceptance limits may be applied to other types of welds or other materials. Acceptance limits may relate to welding standards, application standards, specifications or codes. This document assumes that the radiographic test was carried out in accordance with ISO 17636-1 and ISO 17636-2. When evaluating whether a weld meets the requirements of a weld assessment group, the sizes of irregularities permitted by the standards are compared with the dimensions of the indicators demonstrated on the radiograph taken of the weld.
