- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the fluid permeability of permeable sintered metal materials, the porosity of which is continuous or interconnected, and the test is carried out when the fluid permeability can be expressed by viscous and inertial permeability coefficients. (See Appendix A). This standard does not apply to very long small diameter tubular specimens in which the pressure drop of the fluid through the cylindrical bore is not negligible compared with the pressure drop of the fluid through the wall thickness.
