This standard specifies various limit values of extra-low voltage to guide the correct selection and application of voltage limit values related to electric shock protection. This standard applies to electrical installations (or parts of installations) and electrical equipment involving extra-low voltage. This standard does not include voltage limits in the case of medical contact with conductive parts of the human body. After considering some important factors, and experience shows that a reasonable safety level can be achieved, each professional standardization technical committee can stipulate the limit value of extra-low voltage suitable for this profession. When specifying the voltage limit value, it should take into account See Appendix A for the various factors.
