Scope

This standard specifies the geometric accuracy and working accuracy requirements and inspection methods of single-spindle automatic lathes. This standard applies to single-spindle automatic and semi-automatic lathes that use spring collets to hold a maximum bar diameter of up to 63mm and a maximum turning diameter of disc parts up to 100mm. The machine tools to which this standard applies can be equipped with rotary tool holders, drilling or tapping thread tool holders, longitudinal tool holders and horizontal tool holders with single-axis tailstock, double-axis tailstock and three-axis tailstock. This standard does not apply to single-axis slitting automatic lathes and single-axis cross-cutting automatic lathes.
