Scope
The standard defines terms of industrial computed tomography (CT). The CT application for the dimensional measurement (e.g. length or angle) of components is the main focus. The defined terms are also applicable to other CT applications. They are sorted into the following general subject areas: general terms and definitions, radiation sources, radiation detectors, scan parameters, image reconstruction, artefacts and dimensional measuring; so that a simple assignment is guaranteed. In addition, an index supports fast retrieval of certain terms. Corresponding descriptions and where necessary associated symbols are presented for the respective terms.
