- This standard specifies the specific requirements for the equipment and samples used in the impact toughness test of engineering ceramics, the test procedure and the treatment method of the test results. This standard applies to the determination of impact toughness of high-strength engineering ceramics used as mechanical parts and structural materials at room temperature, and also applies to the measurement of impact toughness of high-strength functional ceramics at room temperature.
