Scope
This standard specifies the salicylaldehyde spectrophotometric method for the determination of diethylenetriamine in water. This method is suitable for the determination of diethylenetriamine in surface water and aerospace industry wastewater. The determination range of diethylenetriamine: 0.4~3.2mg/L. When the diethylenetriamine content in the water sample is greater than 3.2mg/L, it can be diluted and determined according to this method. There are interferences such as partial dimethylhydrazine, nitromethane, NH+4 in water, and when the concentration is within 5 times of the concentration of diethylenetriamine, the interference is very small and negligible; there are xylidine, triethylamine, NO-3 , NO-2 and other interfering substances, when the concentration is within 10 times of the concentration of diethylenetriamine, the interference is very small and can be ignored; when the formaldehyde content is higher than 0.8mg/L, negative interference will occur.
