Scope

This standard specifies two methods for the determination of gossypol in feed, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC method) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS method). This standard is applicable to the quantitative determination of gossypol in cottonseed cake (meal), pig feed and chicken feed; quantitative confirmation by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry.
