Scope

This standard specifies the method and device for measuring the minimum electrostatic ignition energy of flammable gases and flammable liquid vapors. This standard applies to the determination of the minimum electrostatic ignition energy of flammable gases and flammable liquid vapors with a flash point below 60°C (except for corrosive and toxic substances).
